Keyword Research — frequently asked questions

Where do the keyword ideas come from?

Ideas come from Google Autocomplete, the same suggestions a user sees while typing in the search box. They reflect what people actually search for, which makes them a good starting point even without paid volume data.

Is search volume included?

Autocomplete ideas and the Google Trends interest chart are always free. Absolute monthly volume and CPC require a DataForSEO account, which an administrator can connect under Admin, Settings; without it the tool still works in free mode.

What does the trend chart actually show?

It shows Google Trends relative interest over the last twelve months on a 0-100 scale for the selected country. It tells you when demand peaks, not how many searches happen; a keyword at 100 can still have modest absolute volume.

How do I turn these ideas into pages?

Group them by intent: question phrases usually belong in an FAQ, commercial phrases on a product or pricing page, long tails as subheadings inside a broader article. Feed the chosen keyword into the Content Brief tool to get an outline.

Should I make a separate page for every keyword?

Usually not. Keywords that describe the same need belong on one strong page rather than several thin ones competing with each other. Split them only when the intent genuinely differs — for example a buying guide and a pricing page are different jobs even when the wording overlaps.

Why does a country selector matter?

Autocomplete and Trends both answer differently per country, because the same phrase can be common in one market and unheard of in another. Choosing the country you actually sell to keeps the ideas relevant; researching Turkish demand against US data produces a plausible-looking list that nobody in your market searches for.
